Fish Sticks – Rick Lindner update
Completed the south side of Big Island this fall in about ½ day. Cost this year was $343.00 which is much less than prior years. Will see if things stay as they are as they are out in the open. Looking into possible ways to do individual properties if folks are interested and zoning ok with. $500.00 fee per permit and possible to do with multiple landowners. Nelson Lake Association would consider covering the fee if a reasonable number of individuals are interested. Will bring up at next meeting.

AIS Manuals
30 copies have been printed of AIS manual that Bob Walker developed. Bill printed up pages and Bob laminated. Turning completed copies over to Diane to help get out to the inspectors and shoreline person(s).
Bill suggested another 15 be printed up. Advanced Printing will print for $3.00/set for a total of $45.00. NLA will laminate.
Restoration Demo Area Looking at a section of shoreline with good visibility. Dan Vertanen obtained a grant and did quite an extensive restoration which included natural vegetation a few years ago. NLA will obtain Shue’s Pond information and add to future NLA newsletter. Bill will send a note to Mel.
Raffle Ideas
Suggestion was made to go back to electronics (i.e. Kindle ($400), Apple 6G ($700 – 800.00)). Although the gift cards went well they didn’t yield as much as thought.
Will check into and email some possible options.
Other Topics of Interest
John indicated a push is being made to eliminate park models in RV parks in Sawyer County. There are 2 upcoming meetings 1 with zoning, the other with the land commission.
Saturday, February 14th motorcycle races at Nelson Lake Landing.
Angie suggested a photo shoot for the annual summer picnic. Have multiple categories with judging for best photo for 1st, 2nd, 3rd places. Winning photos would become property of Resort Association and NLA after the judging. Would need to come up with an explicit document stating association can use. Electronic copies of the winning photos would also be needed. Proposal will be brought to the April meeting with kick off at the annual meeting in June. Resort Association might fund prizes for chosen categories.
Bill motions to adjourn, Casey seconds, all approve.
