NELSON L. ASSOC. BOARD MEETING, April 2, 2018
Meeting opened promptly by Pres. Bill Wilcox at 630 pm.
Members present: Rick Lindner, Gordy Christians, Kelly Plote, Tom LeMay, Art Saxum, John Welter, Cara Goldman, Bill Wilcox, and Steve Bilitz.

Treasurer’s Report: We have $37,547.18 in the Money Market account, and a balance of $10,810.66 in the checking account.
Scholarship Candidate: NLA will award $500 to Hayward HS student Page Sulley. She is majoring in Wildlife Ecology and will attend U-W, Stevens Point this Fall.
Board Elections: We have 2 board spaces up for election. For President, Rick Lindner is willing to run. Both Angie Dorenski and Art Saxum are willing to continue as board members. We will need to find one more board member.
Fishing Has No Boundaries: The fishing event will run May 18-19 from 7 am – 4 pm on the Chippewa Flowage. NLA has offered our pontoon for their use. Let Bill W. know if you can volunteer your time on the pontoon.
Nelson L. Park: Currently, the restroom is up for bids (in the $16 -17,000 range). The plan is for NLA to contribute $20,000, Nelson L Resort Assoc. a total of $10,000, and Lenroot Township a total of $20,000.
MOTION: For NLA to give $20,000 to Lenroot Township to help pay for the Nelson L. Park. Passed.
Annual Meeting Agenda: Items up for discussion: 1) Nelson L Park info, 2) DNR – Fisheries Creel survey, 3) Stocking and fish sticks updates, 4) Past historical projects, and 5) Elections. This year the meeting will be held on Sat. June 9th.
Other Items…Annual Dues: Dues will remain the same as last year ($20). We received $500 from NABA fishing event. A letter of thanks will be sent to them for this donation. There are 2 items NLA will raffle off, the rifle and kayak, and we will be selling tickets at $10 each of different colors for each raffle item.
