Nelson Lake Assoc. Board Meeting
Aug. 3, 2026

The meeting was opened promptly by President Lisa Wied at 6:35 pm.
Members present: Gordy Christians, Mark Schaenzer, Mike Hallum, Scott Wied, Michelle Tripp, Neil Ellis, Kevin Harvey, Mike Jacobson, Lisa Wied, Kelly Flanagan, Danielle Harvey, and Steve Bilitz.
The minutes of the last annual meeting on June 20, 2026 were read on-line.
Treasurer’s Report: There is $24,549 in the checking account, and $15, 898 in the CD account. Currently, we have 278 members in the Association. MOTION: To give to each resort who does fireworks over Nelson Lake a 50/50 split of donated monies from the NLA members, and $500 from the NLA board treasury. Passed. MOTION: The Treasurer’s responsibilities are to collect money, and maintain the master membership list. Passed.
Town Board Report: Lenroot Township now has a new truck, and it’s being put to good use. Walleye stocking: was done in the 1st week of July. We had no dead fish. The stocking was split among 4 areas on the lake. Approx. 170,000 walleyes were stocked.
Resort Assoc. Report: There was nothing to report at this time.
Raffle Ticket Sales: Sales are relatively slow right now. It will pick up at the August annua picnic. Prizes are all set for the raffle.
Aug. 15th Picnic Plans: All of the various to-do items were assigned to Board members. We are nearly ready for the picnic.
There was no other NLA business.
The meeting was closed at 7:58 pm.
