Lenroot Township Report: We have 2 good workers who did a great job plowing the township roads. There were quite a few compliments made on their work.
Resort Assoc. Report: The Association plans to help fund the Nelson L. fish stocking efforts this year The Governor’s Fishing Opener will take place on Nelson L. this year. 2 new docks (one is a fishing dock) will be paid for by the Resort Assoc.

Live streaming update: Live streaming is not available at the Vet Center in Hayward right now. MOTION: to spend $3,000 to $3500 for equipment to live stream the Annual Meeting. Failed.
MOTION: To make Neil Ellis the NLA’s Treasurer. Passed.

Nelson L. Dam update: There is currently no timeline for any dam repair. For now we know that the dam is inspected every 2 years and baring emergencies, nothing will be done on dam maintenance during the next 6 years.

Sawyer County Lake’s update: Lots of items on their agenda right now. Strategies are currently being rewritten. Nelson L. Board had quite a bit of discussion regarding wake boat use and the potential for future wake boat use regulations. There is a growing number of lake associations across the state who have written wake boat regulations. If we pass any wake boat rules for Nelson L. it would be easy and inexpensive to post them at local resorts and boat launch areas. MOTION: to review existing wake boating regulations and bring the results to the Nelson L. Board. Passed.
Spring Newsletter: Included in the Spring Newsletter will be the following: an update letter from the President; Financial and Membership report; Lenroot Township report; Winter Rama; 2026 Annual Meeting at the Vet Center on June 20th; Annual Picnic and Kayaking event.

At the Annual Meeting, retired Fisheries supervisor Dave Neuswanger will speak about the history of Nelson L. and its fisheries. He will also update the membership on the Humane Society’s new building plans.

MOTION: to purchase a used sonar for the NLA’s pontoon. Failed.
Clean Boats Clean Waters update: Rick Lindner will manage the program this Summer. All our inspectors are now in place.

The Board meeting was closed at 8:20 pm. MOTION: to close the meeting. Passed.

Respectfully submitted, Steve Bilitz, Secretary
