Board Meeting minutes
The meeting was opened promptly at 6:35 pm by Pres. Dale McPherson.
Members present: Rick Lindner, Gordy Christians, Tom LeMay, John Welter, Casey Stangl, Jeff Hanson, Dale McPherson, Mike Hallum, Scott Wied, and Steve Bilitz.
The Board meeting minutes of the 2/3/25 meeting have been read on-line. MOTION: to approve the minutes. Passed.
Treasurer’s Report: There is $14,460.60 in the checking account, and $ 29, 890.83 in the Money Market account. We currently have 263 members in the Association. MOTION: to approve the report. Passed.
Town Board update: The Lenroot Township annual meeting is next week Tuesday. The agenda is made at that meeting.
Resort Association update: New leaders are: President: Danielle Harvey; V-P, Sally Miller; Secretary/Treasurer: Chairity Reglan.
Raffle Items for Picnic: We will have a Blackstone grill, $250 gift certificate from Lynn’s Meats., and a Yeti soft-sided cooler. We will have 500 raffle tickets for sale this year.
WI Lakes Forum: No report.
FHNB Event: This fishing event will be held May 16-17, 2025 on the Chippewa Flowage.
Building Site update: There was a slight delay due to zoning issues. We will need a conditional use permit. Rick gave us an approximation for the storage building plans.
Bouy Change-over plans: It will take place in early May.
Scholarship Candidates: We have 5 candidates before the Board. MOTION: to approve Anna Maina for the $1,000. Passed.
Spring Newsletter: There is quite a large amount of material for this newsletter provided at the meeting. Publication target date is 5/15/25.
Annual Meeting Agenda: The agenda was discussed. Up for election are the following board members: Tom LeMay, Gordy Christians, Scott Wied, and Steve Bilitz.
Boat Inspection Staffing: We need 1 more person for Sunday’s inspections. Let Rick know if you have any candidates for this work.
NW WI Lakes Conference: MOTION: to contribute $100 as a sponsor for their efforts on our behalf. Passed.
Tagalder Beach update: MOTION: to approve $1,000 for loads of sand to add to the beach area, if needed. Passed.
There was no further business. Meeting closed at 7:37 PM.
Next Board meeting: June 2, 2025 at 6:30 PM.
