Nelson L. Association Board Meeting Minutes, Feb. 3, 2025

The meeting was opened promptly by Pres. Dale McPherson at 6:34 PM.
Members present: Rick Lindner, Gordy Christians, Tom LeMay, Mark Schaenzer, Dale McPherson, Glenn Rolloff, Scott Wied, and Steve Bilitz.
The Board meeting minutes of 12/2/24 were read and corrected online. MOTION: to approve the minutes. Passed.
Treasurer’s Report: There is $8573.60 in the checking account, and $29, 890.83 in the Money Market account. Currently, we have 262 members in the Association. MOTION: to approve the report. Passed.
Lenroot Township Report: There have been only 3 snow plowing days so far this snow season.
Resort Association Report: Not report.
Tagalder Beach update: No report.
NABA Fishing event: There were approx.. 75 people who attended this event on Nelson L.
Content for Spring Newsletter: Winter Rama; Lenroot Township report; Annual Picnic and Kayak Event for Aug. 16; Board member photos and Elections; Treasurer’s Report; Agenda for 2025 Annual Meeting. The publication target is 5/15/25.
Picnic Raffle Prizes: Some good ideas were discussed. MOTION: to purchase a Blackstone 36” grill, a Yeti Soft cover cooler, and a $200 Lynn’s Meat gift card. Passed.
Building Plans: Rick L. brought a copy of the garage plan for Gerlach’s Landing parking lot. There will be approx.. $14,000 in building materials. We have secured $5,000 each from the Nelson L. Resort Association and Lenroot Township. MOTION: to up NLA’s allocation to $20,00 for garage construction. Passed.
Walleye Stocking: There was a discussion on whether or not to stock walleyes this year or skip a year due to larger expenditures. We will do some stocking. This discussion was tabled until we hear about the price of walleye fingerlings.
