Notice is hereby given that the Town of Lenroot will hold a Public Hearing on a Proposed Boating Ordinance on Monday January 11, 2021 at 6:00 P.M to install (6) slow-no-wake markers on Nelson Lake, (13) hazard-type markers on Nelson Lake, and (1) danger marker on Smith Lake in Sawyer County, Lenroot Township.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has reviewed the proposed ordinance, condition report, maps, and waterway marker applications and found them to be satisfactory. Copies of the proposed ordinance, condition report and maps will be available for viewing at the public hearing.

The proposed ordinance will replace prior boating ordinances covering existing waterway markers and will fully comply with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources requirements under Sec. 30.77, Wis. Stats.
